well late one night i was sleepin in my bed when the ghost of big bopper walked in and then he said, "kelso, the bop must live on. kelso, you are the chosen one. spread the power of the bop to everyone. surely don't stop it, you're the prophet of the bop it"
then i jumped out of bed, put on my boppin' shoes, i pressed record and then i bop bop bopped the blues cuz im the prophet, yea yea yea im the prophet (of the bop it). if youre crossing your arms you need to stop it, come on we gotta bop it im the prophet of the bop it.
well i cant force you to dance because im sure that is illegal. but, i can write a song so good that youre hips just wont conceal. cuz when the band starts boppin, everybodys hips start popping, everybodys hips will start popping.

I do the bop on saturday nights. I do the bop and then I get into fights with anybody that tells me that boppin isnt right. They try to bring me down from my great height, so i punch them in the face. oh yea, i punch em in the face and then i say "who's next?"
I love to bop, i will not be stopped and anybody who tries is gonna get dropped. The number one thing on my to do list is punching anti-boppers with my fist. i dont know know why they try to legislate against my right to bop because boppin is great (sing it).
Boppin' is my passion, it's not a hobby or a sport. Boppin's been argued in the supreme court, anti-boppers want it banned all across this land. oh yea, that's their crazy demand, i hope things don't go according to their plan.
I'm gonna punch you. Im going to punch you in your stupid face if you try to impede on my right to bop. Say hello to my fist. Don't try to stop me from boppin'.

Well, thats what i fell into last night when i was singin the blues. I went to the country, and ill dwell: thats where it didnt go swell.
I went boppin out there for a barn hopper but the cows came home so we had to stop her. I went for a walk and saw a cute well, and that was where I fell.
I landed on my feet, looked at the ground, saw a dancefloor with fire all around, skeleton heads that were put into a spell: i knew that i was in hell.
there stood a red man with a popped up collar, platform creepers so he was much taller. robert johnson's soul was in his pocket, he could really move, faster than a rocket. when i came down there i was an unwelcomed guest: i knew that he was just gonna kill me next
devil: "listen kid, youre going to die, all of these dancers tried to kill me, none survived. a rocker, a twister, a boogie-woogie sister. I danced them all to death without even a blister."
kelso: "well listen devilman, theres still one left: im going to bop im goin to bop im going to bop you to death"

when i bop in my room i wont be trying to play like you. ill just be doing it for me, i dont care how its supposed to be.
when i play my guitar all of the purists may run far. "thats not the proper technique", "dont go looking at albert king".
when i bop really hard it may not be the fanciest chord. my piano may sound funny, i dont want to spend too much money.
some folks may scorn that i dont have any horns. "thats not the way the bop should be, its just a meaningless degree".
skilled or not i must say: tapping your foot doesnt discriminate. call me a fool any day, as long as i bop im okay.
